New Book Commencing Monday 20th February 2012 from 4p.m.

"The Bequest" By Victoria Petrie Hay.

£1.00 entrance. All welcome to read or just come along and listen to the story.

(All reading takes place in the two-hour slot which includes a break for tea & coffee).

‘Joining Together with Storytelling and Reminiscing’

This year our main focus will be on Storytelling and Reminiscing Workshops working with the Older Wiser Leeds Seniors and other groups around the Leeds area. We are delighted that the Lottery Programme ‘Awards For All’ have decided to fund us in this area. We will also be including some storytelling workshops in with our regular programme at HEART.

Our first two 6 week programme will commence at the following venues:
Both Workshops commence on 11th January 2012.

Wednesdays 1.30 – 2.30 p.m. All Hallows Community Cafe, 24 Regent Terrace,
Hyde Park Leeds LS6 1NP

Wednesdays 1.00 – 2.30 p.m. Queenswood Day Centre, 244 Queenswood Drive,
Headingley, Leeds LS6 3ND

HEADLINGLEY LITFEST 2012

Poetry & Music Evening with Raftery the Poet and Powder Keg.

HEART Centre, Bennett Road, Headingley, Leeds LS6 3HN

An evening of poetry, song, mirth and merriment hosted by performance poet Richard Raftery – (the Viscount of Verse) with music by Leeds-based folk group Powder Keg (music from British Isles and America) and many special guests. Be ready to join in on some songs, or just sit back and be entertained. Entrance £5.00 /£3.50 (Pay on the door).
